Covid-19 in Zambia too
The Covid-19 is unfortunately a worldwide problem and arrived in Africa too.
It could not be otherwise, the virus spreads everywhere and has started to spread also in African countries. Updated today, April the 5th, 2020, the numbers, at least the official ones, are definitely low. In Zambia, a country of 17 million inhabitants, there are 39 virus positives with 2 hospitalized and 1 death only. But the spread of contagion, in a continent where even washing your hands is a luxury that not everyone can afford, could have apocalyptic consequences. Our local manager, Enrico Carretta, informed us by email that you can read here, about the precautionary interruption of the works, decided for the protection of workers, even if not forced by the government yet. And we totally agree with him. We will inform you as soon as we knew, of what it happens in the country and about the restart of works.
