Doors To Ballon
The story of the group Doors to Balloon, the guitarist cardiologists, began at the end of the last century, when two friends, former students of Medicine, who had become cardiologists, found themselves working together and rediscovering the pleasure of playing guitar. Later the band expanded to include three other colleagues, a bass player, an organist and a pianist. A drummer is missing and the band is completed with the only non-cardiologist, but an occupational physician. Despite working in demanding professions and in different cities, the band organises several gigs, also deciding to found an association, the Heart and Music for Life, through which they decide to donate the proceeds of their concerts for humanitarian purposes. The name of the band is the ‘leitmotif’ of their work: the fight against time to succeed in reopening the coronary artery closed by a heart attack!
