Gli Asili di Santina Gusmini

Now our goal is very ambitious and, for this reason, we pointed to carefully evaluate, together with our partners of Pamodzi Ndi Ana, all the problems of a project that involves many people and implies a commitment, not only economically, really huge. We developed a thorough analysis of the area, assessed the needs of the various villages by specific monitoring, chose those to be included in our program, studied how to set up and manage a training course for volunteer teachers. We focused how to operate to achieve our primary purpose: providing services to the children of the villages who have nothing, without any imposition, but asking the support of families, the council of elders, the regional leaders of the Ministry for Education. The document resulted from it can be read by clicking here
Here you will find: all the information on the territory, how people live in this area, what they have at present and what we can bring them. Plus the workplan for the next 24 months and the detailed budget. As always, we want to be transparent, listing all the balance sheet items that we will have to face in the next two years. It is a huge amount that we can hope to collect only with the help of all of you. For further information, we also publish some slides. Here you will find more information about us, our partners in Zambia, the project and how you can help us. We wish that this project is just the beginning, a scheme to be replied in other similar areas: to supply the villages, on their territory, with facilities for the children, currently inexistent and to which nobody thinks. Bringing children closer to education in advance, without rooting out them from their environment, produces collective growth and better school results in future. And, if you look at the required costs, for western standards, they are very poor. With only 17,000.00 euros, we build a kindergarten, furnished, with teaching items and playground; with 12,500.00 euros, we train nine volunteer teachers in a year, who will then be able, with some competence, to manage the children, in their own kindergarten, safely , clean, directly at home, in their village.Children, not only in Zambia, deserve it.
