Last Friday, we completed the third module of our fourth annual ECE training course for volunteer teachers in the Kasenengwa District, Eastern Province, Zambia. With the start of the next school year, a further 10 newly qualified teachers will be able to look after the many children who flock ECE schools in the most remote villages. The number of teachers we have trained in the Chipangali and Kasenengwa districts now stands at 38. Thank you to everyone who believed in this project! Finally, as you can see from the photo, we may well have recruited the youngest student – though we’re not sure how aware he was – in the history of our training programme. This, too, is Africa!

A smile to you all…
